A budget that actually works

In Republican Rep. Tim Huelskamp opinion piece, "A budget plan that actually works," from the Washington Times, the author explains his plan for the "fiscal cliff" in four steps and how Mr. Obamas plan is wrong. The representative uses a great use of pathos in the first two paragraphs starting with "Imagine a family sitting at a kitchen table with bills piled high," to "how much comes in and how much comes out." this is an effective use of Pathos because no family wants to be like the one described in the piece.
